Education and Development for Life's Most Impressionable Years
At
HOPE Center we believe that childhood represents the most precious
time of life, when every human shapes most of his other fundamental
traits that immeasurably affect the remainder of their life. Consequently,
the Early Childhood Education Center professional staff is committed
to providing the highest, most personalized level of education and
training possible to children with special needs from 2-1/2 to age
8.
Unfortunately,
this most formative time of life can be particularly challenging
to children of the inner city. Frequently, social and economic conditions
combine with special needs to negatively inflict tender lives. We
work hard to counter such childhood impediments, endeavoring to
provide each child with the skills and education needed for a long,
fulfilling life. Our conviction is that each child must be treated
and nurtured as an individual with individual needs. Therefore,
our mission is to match every child to programs and services specific
to his or her needs and requirements.
Early
Childhood Education Programs
Parent
Toddler Program, 2-1/2 - 3 years
The Parent Toddler program serves toddlers from 2-1/2 through age
3 who have been diagnosed as developmentally disabled/delayed or
"at risk" for future learning. Children and families are provided
with positive strategies to promote continuous growth and development.
Some strategies include: parenting strategies, cooking and nutrition
information, child resources, community resources and information
on how to deal with the special needs of children.
Preschool,
3 - 5 years
Geared to special-needs children, our preschool services focus on
development of abstract thinking skills, concept development, language,
fine and gross motor development, perceptual development and self-help
skills. Speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and social
services are also provided as needed.
Colorado

This special program meets needs of at-risk children through a bilingual,
multi-cultural, experiential and language-based curriculum. Our
staff provides an environment where children can develop, practice
and utilize their evolving language skills.
